Cultivate Your Growth Mindset Challenge
This challenge calls for you to do some real deal self-reflection...
Are you ready??
Good! So having a growth mindset basically means that your perspective of yourself and your abilities is that you always have room to grow and improve, and you have what it takes to build the habits and skills necessary to do so. The opposite is a fixed mindset, which means that your perspective of yourself and your abilities is that you are who you are and it is what it is, no room for growth or improvement.
The most successful people use a solid system to analyze their strengths and weaknesses, reflect on their current methods and develop new ones on a regular basis. You want to feel satisfied with the progress you’ve made towards accomplishing your goals, and confident in your ability to continue moving forward. This challenge will help you start building habits to do just that!
So boom! The challenge is to identify and chart the good and bad thoughts, emotions and decisions you experience throughout the day for 3 days and complete the following 3 tasks afterwards. This will help you be more aware of the facts about your thoughts and decision making process so you can make accurate assessments and then the proper adjustments.
The goal is to be confident in yourself and your ability to become successful in your lane. As you continue doing these reflections and implementing the adjustments, you will see great results!
Task #1: Replace doubts with possibilities.
Any time you told yourself why you couldn’t do something or make something happen because of, blah blah blah... that’s you doubting yourself and your abilities. Most times it’s due to past experiences that cause you to feel fearful, uncertain and/or discouraged. The key to making the switch is to identify why you’re feeling doubtful and address your concern with the possibilities that you would like to make happen.
Task #2: Replace defeating language with progressive language.
Too often we talk about ourselves and our situation in a negative way, saying things like “I don’t have what I need to do __,” In these moments you are only reinforcing that in your life. Now, those things might be true, HOWEVER, you don’t have to focus on that part, focus on PROGRESS! For example, replace “I don’t have what I need” with “I know what I need, now I just need to get it.” Boom! This switch will help you solve problems rather than complain about having them!!
Task #3: Replace bad habits with purposeful activities that make progress simple.
Some bad habits you might have are not planning ahead, spending more money than you make, using too much time on social media, letting opportunities pass you by, not spending enough quality time with ambitious people. For these bad habits or any others you may have, once you identify them and how they’re holding you back, you’ll know what you need to do to move forward. Don’t let anything or anyone prevent you from fulfilling your destiny!
Listen y’all, this challenge is a jumpstart to doing what it takes to become the next best version of yourself! We’re gratfeul to be a part of your success and share some useful information, inspiration and strategies. Now it’s up to you to take it seriously and apply it. Focus on what you want to experience in life instead of what you’re afraid of or don’t like and take one step at a time, moving closer to making it your reality.
