We help middle and high school students get excited about learning by giving them experience-based opportunities in various in-demand career fields including construction, media production, trucking, nursing and entrepreneurship. This program has been proven to help students:
- Improve Attendance
- Improve Grades
- Improve their potential to graduate into society as productive members
As a local provider with the state of Ohio, we provide the following services to students ages 14-21 years old who can benefit from services and have a disability:
- Job Exploration Counseling
- Counseling on Postsecondary Opportunities
- Work-Based Learning
- Instruction in Self-Advocacy
- Workplace Readiness Training
When Covid hit, America's youth were required to stay at home and attend school online. The problem is that many of our youth don't have wifi nor devices to access internet at home. That's why we offer free phones and discounted tablets with data for $0/month through the Affordable Connectivity Program. The phones also have unlimited talk and text because who doesn't need a Lifeline? This program is has been temporarily paused, but we are hoping to get restarted soon.
ACTION Community Outreach offers staffing and training to our strategic partner organizations. We partner with mission-driven organizations who help youth and young adults thrive in society. In order to qualify for partnership, organizations must be led by an IamACTION Network member and be approved by ACTION Community Outreach leadership.
